Women’s Health Week – sign up now and put your health first

When it comes to health, many women are great at caring for others but often put themselves last. Jean Hailes for Women’s Health will be helping women to put their own health first during the 2018 Women’s Health Week, 3-7 September.

Founded by national not-for-profit organisation Jean Hailes for Women’s Health, the campaign has been a permanent fixture on the Australian health calendar since 2013.

Jean Hailes is calling on women to sign up now to Women’s Health Week to ensure they’re part of this important awareness week, which shifts the focus back on their own health and wellbeing.

“By signing up you’ll receive free health tips, recipes, videos, podcasts and more, aimed at inspiring you to live a healthier life,” says Jean Hailes director Janet Michelmore AO.

“It’s easy to be part of the week. You can simply sign up to receive the daily information or consider hosting an event in your area. It could be a morning tea, a fun health information session, a workplace activity or sporting club event,” says Ms Michelmore.

This year more than 60,000 women are expected to take part in over 1,500 events around the country and already 25,000 have registered to receive the free health-related content emailed to them each day during Women’s Health Week.

Everyone signing up will go in the draw to win a $250 2XU voucher. For more information on Women’s Health Week, inspiration on fun events or to sign up visit www.womenshealthweek.com.au.
