We can't thank you enough
We clocked up 16,500 kilometres – that’s 22 million steps – and counting.
We hope you had fun. We certainly did, watching how many people in Australia joined us in making their moves count for women’s health.
Our own steps
Not only did you ‘take steps’ to help us raise money, but you helped us take our own steps into our first major, independent fundraising event.
And because of you – in the face of all else going on in the world – it was a success! So much so, we can’t wait to do it again next year. By then, we can hopefully walk as much as we want, where we want, with as many people as we want.
Don’t forget, there’s still a little more time left to make your moves count. You can fundraise until 30 September, so there’s still time to promote your efforts and ask your friends, family and workplace to support a good cause.
You’re an integral part of our team – and the very reason for our work, ensuring as many women and girls as possible, in every corner of Australia, have access to the trusted, evidence-based health information they need.
One of the women’s health conditions we provide information and support on is polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), a hormonal condition that affects up to 13% of women of reproductive age. PCOS can affect a woman’s periods, fertility and weight, but because symptoms can vary greatly from woman to woman, some don’t even know they have the condition.
It’s PCOS Awareness Month, and thanks to funding, we’ve been able to provide a whole new suite of PCOS resources, including multilingual fact sheets in 10 different languages. Your efforts and funds raised can go towards us developing even more resources to support women and girls in being the healthiest they can be.
