Jean Hailes for Women’s Health aims to inspire and encourage women around Australia to be the healthiest and best they can be. The Women’s Adventure Film Tour will do just that. This incredible uplifting tour features a selection of short films of inspirational women's adventure and cultural stories.
“We are delighted to once again partner with the Women’s Adventure Film Tour and share the stories of these amazing women throughout Women’s Health Week,” says Janet Michelmore AO, Executive Director, Jean Hailes for Women’s Health.
“The films not only show the amazing challenges these women overcome, but demonstrate how the way you feel physically has a profound effect on your state of mind and emotional wellbeing.”
The screening events will also raise funds to go towards supporting the work of Jean Hailes for Women’s Health to create a healthier future for women in Australia.
Mr Toby Ryston-Pratt, Co-Founder of the Women’s Adventure Film Tour, says the films are being carefully selected and will inspire women around Australia to take the time to look at their own health and wellbeing as well as to strive to be the best they can be. The Women’s Adventure Film Tour have launched a competition seeking submissions of films for inclusion of the tour. Full details will be available from our website very soon.”
“We are seeking films featuring women’s focused adventure stories and in particular looking to include Australian stories. In addition, the events will showcase local adventurers live on stage at selected venues,” said Mr Ryston-Pratt.
Women’s Health Week is encouraging Australian women to make their own good health a priority. Held in the first week of September, it includes both online and on-the-ground events dedicated to getting women together to start making positive changes.
