2018 Women’s Health Week photo competition: winners announced

We're delighted to announce the below three winners of our photo competition whose images showcased their Women's Health Week celebrations in our three categories of health and fitness, workplaces and community.

Community: Sikh Community Connections

Sikh Community Connections held two events during Women’s Health Week supporting a multicultural and diverse community in the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne. At this event they held talks on overall health, nutrition and mind as well as an open forum where the women could raise issues and ask questions.  We love this photo as it shows women coming together and engaging with their community to discuss their health. Congratulations.

Workplace: Sunshine Coast University Hospital

Congratulations to Amanda and Karen on winning our Women's Health Week photo competition for the workplace category.  Working in the obstetrics and gynaecology department at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital, the ladies set up a Women’s Health Week information stall for the hospital at the main entrance and gave out gift bags and talked to women about their health.  According to Amanda, “it was a good chance to talk about the changes to the national cervical screening program”.

Health and Fitness: Healthy Inspirations

Congratulations to Healthy Inspirations for winning the Health and Fitness category of our photo competition. They had a great Women’s Health Week celebrating with their members, particularly the ‘Healthy Sistas’ – a group of ladies all ages, shapes and sizes who participated in one of their Group Fitness classes. We loved this photo because it shows that all women can participate in physical activity by finding what’s right for you.
